Why was Mel nice? Why does Draft coverage suck?

Mel is usually a a$$, "reach you could have got him in the next round, why do you draft him?", etc, etc.

Why is it they show 3 black guys and a white girl talking about the 1st round on day 2 of the draft? If I wanted to see 3 black guys and a white girl talk and ***** at each other I'd go to CLE and watch 3 pimps hitting the **** out of a hoe. I want to see what Mel and Jaws think not some ****ing writers that have no damn clue what they are talking about. If I wanted to watch pretty boy Tony Really (sp?) I'd watch around the horn. Why is it after the first 2 round they don't talk about every pick? After 5 times of hearing how KC draft was the best I want to kill my self. Tell me about the DE TEN took in the 4th I never heard of. Tell me about that 6th round pick, I want to know.

ESPN had too many commercials, their highlights weren't as good as usual in the first round.

I will refuse to ever watch ESPN again. NFLN talks about the Draft. ESPN talks about the NFL.

On draft day, it is ridiculous. I am through with that television station.

However, NFLN needs some new blood. Sick of listening to all of those ogres agree about everything and they are ****ing clueless. Lombardi and Waddle are total morons.

Also, it was funny because Jamie Dukes got owned that entire show.

Concurred. I completely lost interest after awhile for the same reasons you mentioned - they kept flashing picks and COMPLETELY skipping over any sort of mention of them. Especially the second day, all they did was show highlights for when a QB was taken (and even then, not all the time), and talk about Caleb Campbell and when he would be drafted...THE ENTIRE TIME. I understand it's a great story and all, but you're on the THIRD interview with him, and replaying the same ESPN360 clip AGAIN.... Hooray for America, props to the soldiers and all, but I would rather see clips of the guys that just got drafted than Caleb doing the same interview over and over and over again.

Not to mention the constant stream of commercials, some of which displaced the friggin' draft bar...and then of course I have no idea who just got drafted because ESPN could care less who it was; they'd rather interview Caleb again, or have Jaws go over QB mechanics for the millionth time.

And what the hell was with that panel? Leave the "who had the best draft yesterday" and "which coach is on the hot seat" debate for PTI.
