  • Biggest Jump from Year 1-2

Who are some of the players that will find the biggest improvement from their rookie year, to their sophmore year?
My pick is Texan's Amobi Okoye. He had a great start last year, but fizzled out as he became fatiuged. This year though, he will be in better shape from another year in a professional conditioning program, and because he is so young (21 i think now), he will be more mature physically and probobly put on 5-10 pounds of muscle.

Greg Olsen is gonna have a real good year. Meachem should do well if he's healthy.

Steve Smith from The Giants. He missed most of last year hurt, but came up huge in the playoffs. He's finally the slot receiver Eli has needed all these years, and he will have a huge year.

The Arkansas duo on the Falcons. Chris Houston and Jamaal Anderson both had dissapointing seasons, with Anderson getting no sacks, and Houston getting no picks. I think they will both make the biggest jump, since they started so low.

I agree with the Amobi Okoye assessment. I also like Calvin Johnson, Jon Beason, Jared Gaither and Antwan Barnes/Edgar Jones to step it up.

um, Houston was playing lockdown cB when he was in. he isn't exactly a pass picker. he's moreof a coverman.

Calvin Johnson may not improve as much as you think because Detroit has so many weapons in the receiving corps. They have Johnson, Williams, McDonald, and Furrey, all of whom they are trying to get the ball to. I think Johnson would have had a bigger year last year if he hadn't been on a team with that much talent at wide receiver.

I see Woodley being average at best. I agree with Okoye. He hit that rookie wall after a quick 5 sacks. I think he has a full tank of gas all year this season.

I wonder if David Harris will be even beastlier than last year. I mean he has way more help around him this year in Pace, Gholston, Jenkins so his tackle total will likely not be as high (and he didn't even start until a few weeks in the season) but his sack total might be higher.

I forgot about him. I can't imagine he'll have more tackles with the new players around, like you said, but I could see him having another great year.
