I'm not quite sure we are the best team in the league, I would give that to the Pats, but one thing I will say is we are stronger roster quality wise than we were during the play-off run and that speaks volumes.
Gotta love Walter's use of sarcasm when dissing the many failing organizations in the NFL. Surely his e-mail inbox will be bursting now that you've alerted the masses to his power rankings, telling him hes a 'Raida h8a' and stupid.
I really don't think the Giants should be first in the power rankings. They overachieved at the right time but I don't see that happening twice. I would definitely have the Jaguars over the Giants. Overall though, pretty good analysis.
One home team question though. Where does this Redskins have no pass rush myth come from? Andre Carter is very solid and Chris Wilson and Marcus Washington replace Phillip Daniels on third down and combined for 10.5 sacks on the other side. It certainly wasn't their biggest need. OL and WR were both bigger needs.

Yeah, I'm prepared for those... though I got a lot more a couple of years ago when I picked the Raiders to go 2-14. I think they went 3-13 and that shut everyone up... similarly to how Dolphins fans trashed my 2-14 projection last year.
Yeah, no one's going to agree with the Giants being first, and that'll make them a great value play for betting the first few weeks of the season. Unless injuries happen, I'm going to be all over the Giants against the Redskins
I don't like the Giants being #1 at all. I think Eli Manning needs to show he really is the QB we saw in the play offs not the guy who threw 20 Ints in the regular season(and averaged 16 ints over 4 seasons) before they can be considered the best team in the league.

One sack vs. the Seahawks... Andre Carter is solid but besides him, they have nothing.

That's one game and it should be noted that the team probably had no emotional energy left. They had rallied four straight games after Sean Taylor had died. Before the game, even Joe Gibbs publicly doubted whether the team had the emotional reserve left to play well.
Outside of that though, the side in question on the defensive line is Daniels' side and like I said, the sack number was good. I've been high on Anthony Montgomery since they drafted him and I think he will be a solid DT.
I like Anthony Montgomery too... It was one game, but the most important one. The fact that they didn't have energy left means they lacked depth... something they should have addressed in the draft.
Just so you know I like to criticize Derek Anderson's Interceptions, TD/INT Ratio, 13 TD to 12 INT's in the last 8 games, AND Completion Percentage. I also like to point out how much worse those would be without those great recievers.
