In last seasons fantasy i took with my round one pick Frank Gore. BUST. and with my second round pick Marc Bulger. BUST.

Thanks to some stupid people who released guys. I picked up Greg Jennigs, Braylon Edwards, Ryan Grant, Fred Taylor, Donald Lee i was able to use Matt Schaub and Sage Rosenfells as my QB's and pretty much coasted to the final game. I lost the final by 2 points thanks to some yards by Tomlinson!!

If Brady or Manning is on the board in the 1st round for my pick i'd take them and then use them as trade bait.

Or a top tier RB. Peterson, LT, Jackson etc. I'm tempted to go for Ryan Grant.

Late rounds as the people in my league won't take them i'm going for Aaron Rodgers definately.

I picked up Bulger too, but it worked out for the better for me because I dumped him and got Kurt Warner, who was a playoff stud.

I'm adamant about taking McGahee, Jackson or Tomlinson.

I'm gonna try and snag Shaub this year.

Owen Daniels was a very solid TE. a great target for Schaub.

Well, where do I begin? How 'bout I just work my way from the top-down?

So let me get this straight...the dude has a great rookie campaign by rushing for 1,341 yards and scored 13 touchdowns (12 rushing, 1 receiving). So based on this alone, they bypassed the League MVP and drafted "the dude" no. 1, even though LT rushed for more yards (1,474 yards) and scored more touchdowns (18; 15 rushing, 3 receiving)? Also, last time I checked Chester Taylor was still on the Vikings roster. Michael Turner, on the other hand, left SD and signed with Atlanta. I don't know who was making the picks, but I would not have left LT on the board and go with a 1-year wonder who's prone to injury.

I would've taken Tom Brady ahead of Westbrook and Addai. According to my "cheat sheet", once LT, Peterson and Jackson are off the board I'm going with either Brady or Manning (Peyton, of course), with the former getting the pick. The reason is, of the 32 teams NE has THE easiest schedule (if you can believe that). I do not see how Brady will not post big, if not duplicate, numbers in '08 which are comparable to '07. He starts the season with KC, NYJ and Mia before hitting the bye in week 4. The rest of the way, he gets SF, SD, Den, Stl, Indy, Buf, NYJ (again), Mia (again), Pitt, Sea, Oak, Ari and Buf (again). Unless he dumps Giselle Bundchen and begins dating Jessica Simpson, I just don't see how Brady won't post comparable numbers in '08 to '07. Also, due to the fact he had a championship ring taken from him thanks to his defensive unit, you don't think he'll be playing the '08 season just a tad bit pissed off?

Sorry, but I have a hard time fathoming the thought of Marion Barber and Jamal Lewis getting selected ahead of Peyton Manning. There are only two QB's I'd even think about taking in the first round, and Peyton is one of them (I spoke of the other one in the above paragraph). Barber was very good to me last year on several rosters (I drafted QB's and WR's in the first 4 rounds because I knew Barber would still be there into the 5th last year). But this year is his first stint as the no. 1 back and Jones (Jerry) brought in another Jones (Felix) to play alongside Barber. Why do I get this feeling by mid-season, Barber will return to his no. 2 role and goal-line runner while Felix takes on Julius Jones' starting role? As for Jamal Lewis...nope, I'd definitely take Peyton over Jamal.

All in all, I don't feel the '08 FF League season will have such an emphasis on the RB position during the draft because it's so deep. On several rosters last year, I made the playoffs with guys like Ryan Grant, Earnest Graham, Justin Fargas, Kenny Watson, Kolby Smith, Brian Leonard, Jason Wright and Ahmad Bradshaw. I lost to teams in the playoffs who had either Tom Brady or Randy Moss (or both) and never faced anyone with LT, Steven Jackson or Frank Gore. As a matter of fact, I don't recall seeing LT's owner making the playoffs last year or getting past the 1st round. Heading into the '08 FF League Draft, I won't lose any sleep if I don't get the 1st, 2nd or 3rd pick in the draft because the RB pool is going to be deep this year.

I picked up on Waiver Wire the week before he started scoring TDs.

I drafted and filled my other skill positions (RB, WR and TE) before I finally took Schaub in the 8th round last year and he did very well for me until he got injured, whereupon Jay Cutler took over. I knew he'd still be there late into the draft so I used my early picks on other areas because I knew Brady and Manning would be gone by the time I picked, and everyone else at the QB position were clumped together in my eyes in terms of talent and situation.

He'll be a good target for you if you can anticipate where he'll go based on his value so you can use your early picks on the RB and WR positions. I did that with Schaub in one draft, and I did the same with Kitna in another draft where I had a very low pick.

I don't see why it isn't. Peterson has several things working against him.

                          1. Injury history. Injured a lot in college, spent some time nursing an MCL sprain last season.
                          2. Dual running back scenario. Chester Taylor is a quality running back. Not elite, but you wouldn't be disappointed having him on your team. Your real NFL team, that is. Taylor is good enough to merit 10-15 carries a game.
                          3. Tavaris Jackson's ineptness. I'm sorry, but I'm bringing it up again. The fact remains that teams are not scared of him throwing the ball. If he turns it around, fine. But right now, teams are going to place 8 and 9 men in the box and dare Jackson to win games in the air. Peterson has shown he can't run well when the safety drops into the box.
                          4. Sophomore Slump. A minor reason, but still there.

Adrian Peterson to me is on the level of Ryan Grant and Willie Parker in fantasy status. He's behind most single workhorse backs (Tomlinson, Steven Jackson, possibly Larry Johnson), but he's probably the best RB that plays in a dual rotation. Peterson is maybe the 4th or 5th guy on my fantasy board. Maybe sixth if you're in a PPR league.

I don't mind him running with Chester Taylor but it's the injury history and 10 men in the box that scare me.

I dunno. Would you rather have Adrian Peterson who will get 15-25 a game, or someone like Marshawn Lynch who will get 25-30 touches per game? Ditto goes for a guy like Steven Jackson, Ronnie Brown (In theory), etc, etc.

I love Peterson, but if he doesn't carry the ball, he can't score fantasy points.

This got brought up a lot last year. Adrian Peterson will just simply do more than Marshawn Lynch with 5-10 less carries.
