Yeah the Bears NOT franchising Bernard Berrian is my number one. In their superbowl run they had everything but a QB, then they let everything go till they had just nothing. Good draft tho.

Berrian isn't worth anywhere near what the Vikings paid for him. There's no doubt he would have been the best WR in Chicago, but considering what it would have cost to keep him, the Bears definitely made the right choice. He's merely slightly above average, and drops too many passes.
As far as QB's........it would've been nice to see them take someone in the late rounds. It's obvious that they didn't think very highly of what was available though. Should they waste a pick just for the sake of doing so?? Considering the Benson situation, Matt Forte in the 2nd Round looks like an outstanding pick now.
The Bears not drafting a QB wasn't a bad move at all.
They arent a playoff team, people neeed to stop putting the expectation that if they had a "franchise" QB now they would be so much better. It isn't true...there is another draft in 2009 by the way to all the Bears-NO QB haters
Okay great...Brian Brohm in the 2nd round, but now you still have no running game and you are drafting a QB with still a bad OL, WRs, and RBs.
The Bears drafting a QB in the 2nd round would have been a horrible move.
I agree for the most part. Even if they somehow landed the #1 QB prospect, it's still a coin flip on whether he'd turn out to be any good (actually, a crapshoot with the Bears), and even less likely that he'd have a positive impact this season.
Considering their other needs and the talent available, I'd say they made the right choices. Better pass protection and running game would be necessary for any QB (and WR's) to succeed.
It's insane how fast they fell from their SB appearance, to be honest that's the first time I've heard anyone say they're in rebuil mode, but it's true
Yeah I also agree with their whole draft. Throwing a QB into a talentless vacuum is suicide. Thats why I disagreed with the Jamarcus Russel pick.
Still tho how can you not do your best to keep your only offensive weapon around? even if he is grossly overpaid.
Well Russell's arm was the best we have seen since John Elway. He is a rare talent.
In hindsight, I'd say Joe Thomas would be the best pick. Calvin Johnson talent wise was the best player in the draft, but WRs catch what, 6-8 balls a game?
2014-2015 Kentucky Wildcats (38-1)
Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.

In hindsight, agreed. But I can't blame the Raiders for not taking Thomas.

Jerry Angelo was quoted as saying it but I'd rather not go and find the article.
I said Oakland is a talentless vacuum. You said Russel has the best arm since Elway. I assumed you meant Russel was a good enough prospect to succeed anyway (my bad). Why dont you CLARIFY
