  • Ryan Tucker undergoes successful surgery

    http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/article.php?id=8454

He is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season. Tuck is a veteran player and it doesn’t concern me as to him missing training camp.

Doesnt bother me if he misses camp. As long as he can learn to not jump offsides when he comes into a game I'd be happy. That was his only problem last year and he killed many drives. I wanted to strangle his ass for that.

I dunno his recovery might linger into weeks 1, 2, or 3 of the regular season. Then you have Rex Hadnot blocking for ya.

Tucker is a backup so Hadnot would be sitting regardless.

Yeah…I’m not sure what we have in Rex Hadnot, because he wasn’t resigned by the Dolphins.
This should offer Rex a better chance at being brought up to speed with the team now that he will be promoted to 1st team RG and could turn out to be a blessing in disguise. The thing that worries me the most is that he is the 1st option at RT as far as depth goes, because if anything happens to Kevin Shaffer at RT it will also effect the depth at LT and now we would have to go to our 3rd option at OT….That being Isaac Sowells. He played LT in Collage, but at 6’3” I have my doubts as to weather he can play the position at a level that one has to play at this level. You can count on one hand the tackles who have successfully played at that height, expectably at LT.
