In the classic three-quarters-for-a-dollar trade, Sixers owner Harold Katz sent Philly's iconic power forward to the Suns for Jeff Hornacek, Andrew Lang and Tim Perry. Philadelphia slipped from 35 to 26 victories the following season while Barkley won Most Valuable Player honors and led Phoenix to the Finals.
