  • Chicago WR Bradley Sidelined Following Knee Surgery

    Link.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Bears on Wednesday announced that wide receiver Mark Bradley underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee earlier this month and is questionable to return for the July 23 start of training camp.

Bradley caught just six passes for 71 yards and 1 touchdown in limited action in 2007. General manager Jerry Angelo said in February at the NFL Scouting Combine that after the season Bears coaches indicated they regretted not giving the 2005 second-round pick more opportunities.

Plagued by injuries in his first two years with the Bears, Bradley missed the final nine games of his rookie season in 2005 with a torn ACL and five contests in 2006 with an ankle problem.

In 32 career games, the Oklahoma product has 38 catches for 583 yards and 4 TDs.

Ouch. I think it's safe to say that Bradley is an injury-plagued bust. As if Chicago didn't have enough problems at WR already. 3rd Rd pick Earl Bennett will likely need to contribute right away.

I guess if you wanted to be an eternal optimist, you could say they have 2 very good TE's to take some of the pressure off the receivers.
