2nd Tier '09 QB's

I was making a comment on another thread and came up with this question, though premature: Who's the best '09 QB in the second tier?

I'll take Cullen Harper for now but Curtis Painter is impressive while Cantwell has potential.

I'll throw in Chase Daniel and "other" for the heck of it.

Cullen Harper is not in the 2nd tier. What do you see that puts him in the 2nd tier. He is clearly a better QB than Matt Stafford right now

2nd tier does not mean 2nd round that is a huge misconception if that's what you guys are thinking.

Too early to tlak about an issue like this because the 1st tier isn't even set yet. Once it is set, then we can begin this discussion.

That's premature, considering that Tebow and Stafford have more questions than answers at this point, and I would not expect you to understand this concept.

Once again, Carriero just picks the favorites and states the obvious (top 3 consensus QBs).

We don't have a first year. The draft is 11 months away. We havne't even played games for next season. The tiers are far from set at this point.

Seconteer are Tim Tebow, Hunter Cantwell, and Curtis Painter.

That is what I have at this point.Once the season starts I am interrested to see how it goes.

Maybe, no, and yes. First tier IMO is Bradford, Cantwell, and maybe Tebow. 2nd tier is Harper, Painter, Daniel, and Stafford IMO.

The presumption with Tebow is that he'll be used sporadically as a QB, and will line up as a TE and FB as well. If he pulls a Seneca Wallace, then he's a 4th-5th rounder, like Wallace.

But that's what I'm asking. I'm not saying they're the best, I'm wanting to know who people think is the best between Harper, Painter, Cantwell, Daniel, or somebody else, a sleeper not named Tebow Stafford or Bradford, even if you don't think they're the best. There goes Matt again, jumping to conclusions.

Cantwell? He has never played a full season and is nothing but potential. Secontier at best until he proves himself.

That was the hype that Matt Jones had going when he came out of Arkansas. Didn't work out as well as everyone thought.

I know. I don't recall what Matt Jones put up as a runner, but I somehow doubt he matched or came close to what Tebow did. =P
