The Chiefs have decided to suspend contract talks with the agent for No. 5 overall pick Glenn Dorsey.

King Carl at it again. The players behind (Vernon Gholston) and ahead (Darren McFadden) of Dorsey are slotted, but GM Carl Peterson can't close the deal. Another Chiefs holdout, like Dwayne Bowe's in 2007, appears likely.

I think he's saying more like he wears down as the game goes on, but I don't really see that happening in Minnesota with their power running game and ball control.

Wow... if they don't get Dorsey signed, Peterson's great draft looks way worse. Peterson should try everything in his power to get a deal done.

if the chiefs donst sign him until the last roster cut oder 1 game off the season are other team allowed to sign him!?!?

i have no clue about that but on madden you can sign them when they dont get a deal done with a team that originaly drafted them...

but if that doesnt work out... i mean could it be possible that Dorsey sits out the whole 08 season ??

Yes it happened when Bo Jackson was selected by Tampa Bay in 1986. He never signed so the Los Angeles Raiders drafted him in the seventh round the next year. Also, it's not by the end of the regular season. It's if he hasn't been signed by the next draft. My mistake.
