  • Jeff Garcia left practice with calf injury

Brett Favre trade? Doesn't seem like it anytime soon, but I think McCown can be "the guy."

I wonder if Garcia will be out, reports are that McCown has looked like the best QB.

Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.

I seem to remember Green Bay waiting for an injury to maximize the value they get from Favre.

We don't know how serious it is. I still wouldn't offer anything higher than a 4th for him.

Wouldn't be shocked honestly if Gruden would prefer a QB that knows the system much better like McCown over Favre, but we all know he is a QB collector so you just never know.

McCown can be a good starter in a year or two. I don't think he would be as good a starter yet however. If Garcia is out for a few days though I would be interested to see if McCown could perform efficiently with their first team.

Didn't Favre play for Gruden back in the day? Don't the run some form of West coast offense?

I admit all I know about McCown is he threw that TD against Minnesota in 2003 to Poole sending GB into the playoffs (and 4th and 26....)
And now for something completely different

Apparently it isn't serious after the docs had a look

I'd prefer McCown over Favre anyday. I mean, just the kind of low risk offense Tampa has, I really don't think Favre is worth it. There are so many other reasons to throw in as well, I'd even take Garcia over Favre.

If Minnesota gets Favre that will elevate them greatly because they will no longer be one dimensional. They will become a Super Bowl contender instantly. Tampa is already a Super Bowl contender.

I don't think Tampa is a Super Bowl contender with Garcia, but that's okay. If we win a playoff game I'll be really happy.

As long as Chilly doesn't go Mike Sherman and let Favre go 29 (most of the underthrown...that's what a preps player does!) INT-wild...

Favre is not going to TB or NYJ. He already refused to talk to both, because he knows they're not SB contenders. And as to phenomenal waffles... McCown over Favre? You're kidding, right?

Tampa is not a Super Bowl contender? Well I guess the Giants weren't a Super Bowl contender last year either, but they won it.
