  • Fantasy QB Start - McNabb vs Bulger Week 8

I was wondering if anyone had thoughts on this.

McNabb is at the Vikings, who suck on pass defense this year, but apart from that one game against the Lions, so has he.

Bulger, has also sucked, faces the Browns, whose defense has been porous against both run and pass.

Both have underachieved so far this season, and in fantasy leagues. I'm tempted to go with Bulger simply because he'll be at home, and because Isaac Bruce may finally be fit enough to boost Bulger's stats. Plus I've got Westbrook as a RB in the same lineup, so could still see some benefits if McNabb has a blinder.

I picked the Rams to win this game... this probably doesn't help you but I think it will be somewhat of a low scoring game with a Rams victory 17-10?

Go McNabb that way if he throws a TD to Westbrook it'll be double points. Then it puts that much more excitement into the game.

Thanks, McNabb it is. So next question. Len"Whale" White or Jamal Lewis, assuming he's healthy? Both have been surprising performers so far this year but Cleveland probably has the better matchup.

You never know how many carries Whale is going to get. I'd use Lewis.

I think both teams will score in the 20s, and Bulger will have a decent game. Also Jackson is coming back to help take the pressure off him, but with that oline I don't know how much that will help

I agree with Walter. I'd never start White unless I was desperate and had injuries or bye weeks to my other RBs. It's almost impossible to predict when he's going to have a big fantasy game.

Go with Mcnabb, he usually responds after hard critiscm. In addition i think he's going to have a very nice game..

I'm totally awesome! Go the Viking's pass defense.

I'm glad I ended up leaving Whale White on, because I was scared Lewis wouldn't play, and couldn't be bothered waking up early enough to check the pre-game and change my lineup. For once, my laziness worked in my favor.

An aside, am I the only person who thinks White has potential at this level? I remember him outshining Bush in that oft-cited Rose Bowl game. Yeah he's not the fastest, but as long as he keeps mentally (and therefore physically) hungry (sigh) he could have a few good seasons. Plus, his strength makes him a good goal-line back, and therefore fantasy back.

I think soon it might be necessary to start a thread about opinions of the careers of the guys that played that night. In a couple of years, they will probably be the who's who of pro-bowlers.
