  • Chad Henne back to day one?

I saw Walters latest mock and even though he has Chad Henne as a 3rd round prospect, in the mock he's a second round pick.
    Walter got PWN3D
    Rams GM

    Picks
    2. Jake Long, OT, Michigan
    33.Cliff Avril, DE, Purdue
    65.Tom Zbikowski, S, Notre Dame
    101.Tavares Gooden, LB, Miami
    137.Dennis Dixon, QB, Oregon
    168.Maurice Purify-WR-Nebraska
    180.Justin Forsett-RB-Cal
    217.
    252.

He's coming back, but I'm not sold on him being higher than a late 2nd rounder. Just too inconsistent throughout his career...but then again so was Joe Montana at Notre Dame.

Physically, I love Henne. Great arm. Strong body, its his mental tools and leadership that worry me.

Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.

I think too much blame was placed on him for the appalachion state game when it was the defense that really sucked

Henne has potential to be a top ten pick, but some inconsistency this year hurt him, nad now missing all this time with injuries is really hurting his stock.

In the end a team will take a chance on him in the late second round hoping he can develop into the top 10 pick he was projected at before Appalachian state.

If he beats OSU he might bring himself back to Round 1

I agree with both Matt and candyman. I think he's a 2nd-round guy right now, but if he keeps progressing and beats OSU, he'll go to Round 1.

Beating OSU is overrated for Henne. It's not about winning games its about performing well and having that NFL upside and ability to play at the next level.

Troy Smith won a lot of games, big games, but it didn't matter because he wasn't a great pro prospect to begin with.

I dont see any way in Hell Henne fights back up into round 1.

Baltimore is about the only team off the top of my head that will be in the back half of the draft looking for a QB and with Brohm falling down the charts i dont see any shot.

Especially since Henne is at best the #5-6 prospect at QB on peoples radar,

Ryan, Woodson and Brohm are likely to be the only 3 to go in round 1

In Round 2 you could see Brennan, Ainge and Booty all go before Henne, and they might not all go in the second round either, so falling to the third

I'm a Michigan fan and still think he's not better than a 3rd rd QB. He will never start in the NFL and don't see him as that great of a back-up either

I don't think there's any way Brennan goes in Round 2. He's got a weaker arm than Chad Pennington.

Senior Bowl week is HUGE for Brennan. He already got an invite and accepted. He can get into round 3, but I agree with Walter he isn't a round 2 prospect.

Brennan will not go before Henne because he is a system quarterback. If Henne can finish out the season strong and win some important games, he could be a late first rounder

And if Troy Smith backs him up I will be able to hold that over the rest of Columbus forever (I'm a Michigan fan who lives within a mile of Ohio States campus)
