I don't think he will get injured... He looked amazing against my Bears a few weeks ago and continues to dominate the league. I would love to him him set more records this year
Peterson beating the old rushing record impresses me about as much as the guy who broke his own record of how many straws he can fit in his mouth by adding one straw in the middle. Yea it was awesome but common, hit it by 15 20 30 yards or something like lewis did to dillon.

Dont get me wrong, i know you got history with McFadden and i cant wait to see what McFadden does in the NFL, i still got him as the #1 player in the country and by a long shot. But to try and knock a rookie that wasn't even the starter to begin the season for only rushing for 296 in one game is very weak.
And as a rookie, Peterson is on pace to break 2,000 yards rushing and around 2,500 all purpose yards which would be amazing as well.
If he can stay healthy on a consistant basis, him and McFadden will be a similar battle to Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith...
I think it's a little early to say that just yet. Emmitt and Barry both did so much for so long in the NFL. Peterson has had a fantastic first 8 games, and McFadden will be an awesome NFL Talent as well. However that is quite the bold prediction.
Give him credit too because of the Vikings anemic aerial threat. Defenses can put 8 men in the box, knowing that Tavaris "Worst Starter in the League?" Jackson has a season QB rating of 50. 50! You can get 39 by just throwing the ball away all the time (i.e. no picks). And 2:5 TD:INT. Some will say that this means that the Vikings have plenty of yards to gain on the ground, but I see a strong safety up to stop the run more times than not.
He is good enough that the Vikings could make him run every play (Which is basically what they do, because any time Jackson throws the ball they just waste a play)
