  • Survivor Week 10

Seattle over Tampa won in Week 1.
Chicago over Kansas City won in Week 2.
Pittsburgh over San Francisco won in Week 3.
Dallas over St. Louis won in Week 4.
New England over Cleveland won in Week 5.
Baltimore over St. Louis won in Week 6.
Washington over Arizona won in Week 7.
Tennessee over Oakland won in Week 8.
Cleveland over Seattle won in Week 9.

In case you don't know what this is, you need to pick a team to just win each week. If that team wins, you stay alive. If that team loses, you're out. You can't pick the same team twice.

    These are guidelines I use:

    1. Never pick road teams
    2. Never pick a bad team
    3. Stay away from public plays
    4. Never pick a team that could either be looking ahead or behind
    5. Never pick divisional games

    Getting tougher now...

The 14 home teams in Week 9 are (excluding ones I picked):

    Carolina
    Miami
    Kansas City
    Green Bay
    New Orleans
    Oakland
    NY Giants
    Arizona
    San Diego

Knocking the bad teams off, we have:

    Carolina
    Kansas City
    Green Bay
    New Orleans
    NY Giants
    San Diego

    Eliminating divisional games, we have:

    New Orleans
    San Diego

    Only two LOL...

New Orleans over St. Louis, why the hell not?
    San Diego over Indy, no!

    We've narrowed it down to:
    New Orleans over St. Louis

    One option this week.

    Teams looking ahead:
New Orleans has Houston, so no look-ahead.

We've now narrowed it down to:
    New Orleans over St. Louis

No idea where the public is.

OK, so what do you guys think? Can anyone find any reason not to take the Saints?

the rams nice and rested off a bye still looking for a first win kinda scares me. what would happened if they won you would see alot of players out of the survivor this week.

The Saints game also scares me. You know St. Louis is going to eventually get its first win; and if Steven Jackson plays the whole game, their offense can be deadly. If there's any 0-8 team that can keep up offensively with the Saints (granted there are only 2), it's the Rams.

I'm thinking the Rams win this game. I know it's a scary thought but I'm a sucker for small chances and risk taking. I would take San Diego over Indy. Mainly because I'm a Chargers fan and my roomates a Indy fan. So that reasoning is kind of shot too. How about Seattle over San Fran?

Seattle over San Fran is a divisional matchup. Violates Rule 5

Hmm, Walter, good job with the Cleveland pick last week. In the end I didn't mind so much my aussie cable covered it instead of the mini-Superbowl.

As for your assertion that picking gets harder now. I would almost say that the selection gets easier as the season goes on as you have less teams to choose between. Plus early in the season, there needs to be way more consideration about "should I use this team now, or in week ?"

The Saints definitely for this week though. I try not to look at teams entire seasons, so much can change. N.O. definitely aren't the same team now that lost 4 straight. The Rams too aren't the team that lost their first four straight, they're probably even worse. LOL. I'm so glad I didn't pick Steven Jackson in any leagues.

The fact that you haven't used Indy, GB, SD or the Giants yet means you might run the table.

                  Let's hope so, JimmyP!

If we survive this week, I think I'm going to use Indy over KC next week.

Hindsight is 20/20. By the way Walter, I know plenty of people who were eliminated from survivor this week because of New Orleans.

It was just a bad game to pick
