  • Jon Kitna and the Detroit Lions

I know a lot of people laughed (Including me) when Jon Kitna said 10 wins for the Lions. Well we are no longer laughing. I felt Kitna would have another good year (Because he is one of my favorite QB's) and the Lions would win 7 or 8 games. Now Kitna has a 94.3 QB rating, throwing the ball at a 67 percent rate, and their recievers are catching the ball. Put that with the productive running game and surprisingly decent defense Detroit will probobly win 10 games.

I simply attribute the Lions success this season to this fact.

Over the last 5 or 6 years they have found every possible way to lose a game, and well they just ran out of ways to do it. Leaving the only option as : finding ways to actually win games...

Candyman and Smith. Your telling me the Browns and Lions are not smart enough players to improve and learn how to win? That Romeo is not capable of improving a team? That Jon Kitna is not capable of leading even though he has always been a solid leader and passer? That is what it sounds like and if you dont think it is possible you need to research how players, coaches, and teams become successful. THEY LEARN! Candyman I am really surprised you would put a statement like that up because you seem very informed. I am actually disappointed. I guess the Texans are next on your hitlist.

For one, I was making a joke. Secondly, I know that the Browns have only had to do two things to get good; Get a solid QB and Get a legit O-Line. And for the Lions, they needed a good WR core. Both teams have what they needed and are now successful.

And the Texans I will not bash because they are still a developing team. They have some great young players in Shoub, Williams, Johnson, Okoye, Jones, and Ryans, just to name a few. I don't see the Texans going anywhere but up.

Also, I think Jon Kitna is one of the most under-rated QBs in the league and would still be starting for Cincy had he not been released

I don't know if he'd be starting for Cincy lol but he is underrated for sure.

The reason people aren't believers in the Lions are because they've got blown out twice this year. By Philly (Last in division) and the Redskins (Second to last in division [only better than the Eagles]).

I'm a Lions fan and I'm cheering for them this year, but they haven't sold me until they can win on the road against a good team.
