    Jim Tressel!

Haha, just kidding, I'm a Michigan fan

I think Boise State is better than Penn State, and thats just off the top of my head.

I would even say Arkansas>Penn State.

Matt, good point about the extra games. I was actually thinking this myself, that the championship teams would be playing 4 games on top of the 12 (?13 w/ conf. champ) game regular season. Football is different from basketball in that respect.

Also, with that many games against good teams, it is possible that the best team actually loses (especially if its an away game).

As Walter said though, you'd not need to get rid of bowl games, in fact you could probably work the BCS games into the semi-finals, maybe on a rotation (e.g. winner of Rose bowl and Sugar bowl goes into Orange bowl championship game or something).

As for the number 7 seed knocking up number one? In a year like this, its totally possible.

People would love to see a No. 7 seed mid-major knock off a power-conference team. People would fill out brackets. People would skip work/school to watch the games. It would be incredible, Matt. Knowing you're a college football fan, I'm disappointed that you don't want what's best for the sport. Do you actually like watching meaningless bowl games like the Kwik-E Mart Bowl?
Yes, I try my best to watch all the bowls because I love the tradition of the bowls.

I mean it is a real hassle for these kids around finals to have to practice and then have to play possibly an additional 3-5 games around the holidays. I just don't like it and I like the tradition that is college football games of the bowl system that we have.

Oh yeah, and in most years a No. 7 seed would have no chance of knocking off a No. 1. Realistically you know that and I knokw that and it is just ridiculous to think about really. This isn't basketball, it is football. Upsets don't happen that often in football this is really just a really ****ed up year.

Well Michigan lost to App St and was blown out vs. Oregon. Yet before this weekend they were ranked 12th in the country.

We debate more now over the teams that get in the 16 team tourney. It's like the Pro Bowl. Someone will always get snubbed.

Someone will always get snubbed in college football. BCS like we have now or a pointless 16 team tourney when students have to take finals, fans have to shell out much more money for traveling costs, etc.

Also, considering it is the Most Outstanding Player Award, please explain why Chase Daniel is more worthy than say Chris Long?

It's not just you and I'm not picking on you, it's pretty much everyone.
I'm assuming you haven't watched Reesing at all? He's really incredible. And his team's undefeated.

Automatic bids, giving every conference a chance. The Ivy League gets a bid into the NCAAB tournament to make it fair. Every conference should get a shot. If you don't want that, the Sun Belt should be demoted to I-AA. I'm fine with that. But as it stands, the winner deserves a chance.
