Having computer problems? Have a computing tip? Post it here!!!
I'll start us off. One anonymous person asked me how to make their text a little smaller. Here we go (NOTE: This only works in Windows):
Step 1:
Try lowering the font size in your browser. In Internet Explorer 6 go to view, then text size and select smaller or smallest. In Internet Explorer 7 go to page, then text size, then smaller or smallest. Of course, this also makes the text harder to read. Unfortunately, that doesn't work with all text for technical reasons.
Step 2:
If that doesn't work, you can try raising your resolution by going to the control panel link in the start menu and clicking display. Then you click settings and move the green and white slider up. If it looks really weird, don't worry. A window should pop up saying your desktop has been reconfigured asking if you want to keep these settings. If you click no it will go back to the way it had been. If you are still stumped, try searching Google.
