  • Protein/Fitness supplements

    I've really started lifting/working out lately and I'm addicted to it. Anyways, just wanted to get everyone's advice if anyone else takes protein supps like meal replacements, protein bars, shakes, etc.

    Right now I eat 1 protein bar a day. They are actually really really tasty, 20g protein, 17g carbs.

    Any advice for me? Anyone use Myoplex or something else?

      But seriously I'm a casual exerciser. I do free weights/body resistance and I don't take supplements so I can't help ya

        Oh yeah I forgot I am doing creatine. It says to do it like 3 times a day, but I only do it once after I workout.

            Whey protein advanced protein. Its like 52 Grams of protein each drink. Its cheap too. Like 17 buks for the giant things of powder

                just mix it with some milk in a blender or in your hands. It doesnt taste bad at all, like some.

                      Dude, working out, besides football, is my passion. Hahaha.

                      If I were you, I'd keep up the protein bars, hit up the local GNC if you have one, and buy whatever whey protein the person working there recommends. Buy some NOxplode and Cell Mass. Take NOxplode before workouts and Cell Mass afterwards. Cell Mass is basically creatine with some other stuff, so stop taking the creatine. Try to get in 3 shakes a day.

                      What's your weight and bench max? I weigh 132 and bench 200.

                        Also, don't think I have enough money to do everything you suggest, but when I get a real job in 2-3 years I'll definately look into doing what you said.

                          Hey, my bench max was 70 two years ago, everyone's gotta start somewhere.

                          And the only reason I have access to that stuff is because, luckily, my dad's as into working out as I am.

                              Whey protein is a must... not Soy.... Also you should take Creatine as recommended on the bottle or u won't get the effects. Did you load at the beginning as well?
