Huge trade just went down...Willis/Cabrera to Tigers
But with weight issues that's gotta put a strain on his body especially his knees. This could add to an increase in injuries and more time on the DL as he gets older. I mean he's more of a risk being overweight, I suppose the Tigers think he is worth it.

I don't think the weight is an issue at all. This is a 24 year old player who has been to 4 all star games...you all make it seem like he is a 35 year old veteran.

Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.
But it seems like Cabrera has been gaining weight and lethargy over the years. Not saying he's not a great player, but I'd have some concerns in acquiring him.

I'd be concerned anytime a team wants to unload a player with his credentials.
Well, the trade they made wasn't a total giveaway. They got some pretty promising talent in return. Many in Detroit are questioning this. Detroit has mortgaged it's future before. 1984, Detroit gives up a young John Smoltz for Doyle Alexander. One example of many.
Will Marlins ever be able to keep their young studs? The produce great prospects and once they become stars they have to get rid of them because they can't pay them...
