  • MLB Predictions/In-Season Thread

It's that time once again for the MLB predictions! With the season only a week away from starting up I figured this should give everybody enough time to put in some of their predictions for the year. Ranging anywhere from team records, to awards, to just individual accomplishments.

    AL MVP: Alex Rodriguez
    NL MVP: Albert Pujols
    AL Cy Young: Felix Hernandez
    NL Cy Young: Tim Lincecum

    Playoff teams:

AL: Yankees, Twins, Rangers, Rays (Wild Card)
NL: Phillies, Cardinals, Dodgers, Marlins (Wild Card)

Joe Mauer will continue to hit for a high average, but his power numbers will come back down to earth. (around 20HRs)

The Texas Rangers will be the highest scoring team in baseball

    Phil Hughes wins 10+ games.

Jason Heyward will win NL ROY

Julio Borbon will win AL ROY

Jose Reyes will stay healthy and score 120+ runs and steal 60+ bases.

Carl Crawford will steal 80 bases.

Ricky Nolasco and Francisco Liriano will finally put it all together and be borderline all-star pitchers this year.

Stephen Drew will finally reach his potential and hit .300+

I mean, from what I look at it's really good. And since you only get to pick a team pitching staff I think you picked a good one. However, it's tough to truly say how good your team is since it's only an 8 team league and every team in a league like that is loaded.

First, that's a pretty cool idea. Your offense should be one of the best from what I can see. Pitching staff is a question mark though. Harden's great, but can't stay healthy. Your offense should keep you in contention though.
