Hornets sign Posey

NEW ORLEANS (AP)—The New Orleans Hornets have signed free agent forward James Posey.

Posey’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, says Posey, who played last season for the Boston Celtics, has agreed to a four-year contract worth $25 million.

I hate James Posey. I probably wouldn't hate him if he played for the Bulls put he is a dirty player. Kinda like Nocioni..

He has had multiple incidents where he had dirty plays against the Bulls. And actually got suspended after he broke Tyrus Thomas' nose.

im sure the Bulls really missed his 4 points and 2 rebounds per game while he was out

even if they overpaid, the Hornets bench was pathetic so Posey will help

I think Posey is a solid player and can contribute off the bench. Not sure if he's worth that much $$ and not sure why everyone was saying he was best FA this year but whatever

The Celtics didn't waste much time adding to their roster in place of Posey. They signed 7 foot Center from Bradley Patrick O'Bryant

They overpaid for a very good bench guy, clutch 3 point shooter and a good defender. He is dirty, but its only dirty if you get called for it. I love this move for NO, he will help them this year and next while they have thier window, after that hell be 'the expiring contract of james posey' in the trade columns. someone had to replace ratliff!

Posey is a less aggressive, better shooting, younger, and more athletic Bruce Bowen. If he played with a mean streak he would be better than Bowen. Overpaid, yes. Great Pickup, without a doubt. Posey will give them a ligit shutdown defender and bring them one step closer to the NBA Finals.

Right but Posey was a FA in the right year beause there really were no big names this year so thats how you get these guys that get huge contracts and 1-2 years down the road need to be parts of trade to free up cap room
