  • Combining Leagues

When I first brought up doing fantasy leagues for WF.com, I had the idea of something like 36 teams with 3 separate leagues... The playoffs would begin a week earlier (Week 13) and the championships would be on Week 15. Then, on Week 16, the champs of the 3 leagues would play each other.

Of course, if we have 2 leagues it'll be 24 teams and whatever, still the same point.

To do this, all leagues would need the same scoring system/position setup.

No, just the championships. Like we'd have our championships on Week 15; not 16... Then on Week 16, the champions would play each other. If we run the same scoring system, it'll work out where we can just compare scores.

So we'd have to do this league manually without any Yahoo or ESPN?

Well Walter the thing is a lot of starters are resting in Week 16. That's bad. I mean we could do it as an extenstion, but idk.

I love the idea in theory, but I don't see it being that simple. I still like the idea of have 2-3 how ever many leagues and taking everyone who made the playoffs and putting them in the same league next year. So there is a "winners" league so to speak.

No we just look at the scores of Week 16 from both leagues and just compare who scores higher. It's pretty simple. The leagues stay separate until Week 15, which would be the championship in each individual league. Week 16 would be when we compare to how all the winners score.

I'm the commissoner of the WF.com league, and as such I have to say we need 2 weeks for the playoffs in our league.

13 games just isn't enough for us in the regular season. 14 games plus 2 playoff weeks is perfect.

Therefore, in week 17 it is useless because all starters are rested. We can't do this as I see it...and no offense walter but I don't see what the big deal is anyways.

Why are 13 regular-season games not enough? I think that's more than enough.

                    1. It's an odd number
                    2. I just don't think it is enough. 13 isn't much...consider that this league will be very competitive (hopefully)
                    3. I relaly don't think we need to combine the leagues...is this league not enough Walter?

This is the official league for the most dedicated members of the WF.com forum. I just don't see the upside in combining 2 leagues.

We don't need to combine leagues, like we don't need to play 14 games. But I think it would be cooler to see who would be the champ amongst 24 people; rather than 12.

I'm a peon as far as this goes, but I really like that idea for what it's worth^

I'd rather just win both so I can have 2 1st places out of 12 instead of 1 out of 24. Plus with 24 u won't get many good players and i like to stock pile!
