  • 2008 All "bust" Fantasy Team

Draft these guys and they shall disappoint (I think).

QB- Matt Hasselbeck- Last year he was my sleeper QB and he had a great season, but this year I don't see it out of this team. They have lost some key components in the passing game ( Branch and Hackett) and have gotten older on offense. Age will finally catch up with the Seahawks.

RB- Marshawn Lynch- I am not sold on Buffalo this year. I don't think they have upgraded the O Line enough or the passing game. Trent Edwards and the Bills take a step back in 08 and Lynch suffers.

RB- Jamal Lewis- I may regret this but I do not think Lewis has another good year in him. He has a lot of wear and tear and I am uneasy about the Brown's this season. I do not trust Derek Anderson, and without a reliable QB this offense could struggle.

WR- Brandon Marshall- Legal issues and injuries are clouding his enormous potential.

WR- Dwayne Bowe- Love what he did as a rookie, but Michael Clayton fooled me with a terrific rookie season a few years back. Both receivers came from LSU. Never mind the fact that KC has serious QB issues.

WR- Chris Chambers- Year after year people are high on Chris Chambers year after year he disappoints. Easy pick here

NOTE: I considered Greg Jennings here. I think his high TD total was a bit of a fluke given his low reception count. I still love his upside but am uneasy about the QB change.

TE- Antonio Gates- Top TE in the league? I think not. Especially given where you will have to pick him, his injury concerns, and the injury concerns of his QB. If you really want to take a TE in round 4 go Jason Witten, stay clear of Gates.

K- Mason Crosby- I find the top kicker one year disappoints owners who take him early the next year.

DEF- Green Bay- Overall I think the Green Bay team is over rated. The defense is thin in the secondary and will be exposed this year.

Michael Clayton sucked in his 2nd year because he gained weight (gruden told him to) and he got injured. Bowe doesn't have these issues and should be fine.

Congrats to Wisconsin. Even more congrats to UK haters.

-What's wrong with their offensive line? Derrick Dockery, Jason Peters and Langston Walker are all great linemen,
-So is every WR from LSU fated to never be good? Also, the QB issues shouldn't matter since Croyle and Bowe have great chemistry.

Brad Butler is solid at guard too. Only weakness is at center. They need to pay Peters his money, he's earned it.

Is their center still Melvin Fowler? He was decent when he played for the Vikes.

I like this list except for Chris Chambers and Antonio Gates. Ok, maybe Gates busts if he gets injured, but he's the most talented TE in the NFL and in an offense taylor made for him. He should always be the #1 TE picked.

Chris Chambers is in a new offense where they have a competent QB and don't completely suck on offense. Defenses will key in on LT and Gates so he should get lots of balls and have a solid year.

Greg Jennings had a low reception count because he was injured and missed significant time last season. Yet he still managed around 12 TDs. Good thing you didn't put him on the list.

This is true, but he is getting old along with the rest of his team.
